Caleb Hampton is a journalist from California. Caleb works as an editor at the newspaper Ag Alert, where he covers California agriculture. His reporting has appeared in The New York Times, the Guardian, Civil Eats and other publications. He is a 2025-26 Food Systems and Public Health Fellow at the Johns Hopkins Center for a Livable Future. Caleb has a master’s degree in journalism from the University of California, Berkeley, Graduate School of Journalism. He lives in Davis, California.
