Caleb Hampton is a journalist from California. Caleb works as an editor at the newspaper Ag Alert, where he covers California agriculture. His reporting has appeared in The New York Times, the Guardian, Civil Eats and other publications. In addition to agriculture, he has reported on immigration, education and environmental issues. Caleb has a master’s degree in journalism from the University of California, Berkeley, Graduate School of Journalism. He was a 2025-26 Food Systems and Public Health Fellow at the Johns Hopkins Center for a Livable Future. He lives in Davis, California.
